Author Bio:
Iva Valentino lives in Arizona with her husband and their
dog, Lupo. She graduated from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s
degree in Biology and a Master’s degree in Education. She thinks visiting cold
places is fun, but she loves living year-round in the warm desert.
Iva spent many years as a middle school teacher, where she
enjoyed doing cool science experiments with her students. She currently works
as a science editor at an educational publishing company. She loves travel,
yoga, and photography. There is nothing that brings her more happiness than a

Now, I’m supposed to
choose one character from a work-in-progress or a
recently published
book and answer seven easy questions. Here goes!
What is the name of
your character? Laurie
Bowman
Is he/she fictional
or a historic person? Laurie
Is definitely fictional!
When and where is
the story set? “Eyes With No Soul” is set in Ozark,
Missouri in present times.
What should we know
about him/her? Laurie is a high school sophomore who
has always had an intuitive sense about her.
Bumping into a stranger at the mall opens her psychic doors and
overwhelms her with knowledge of what he's done.
What is the main
conflict? What messes up his/her life? Laurie’s main conflict is that the man
she bumped into has committed a murder – and she’s witnessed the murder scene
in her mind. “Adam” takes an avid
interest in Laurie and begins to stalk her.
Laurie tries to protect herself, but the law simply things she is a
dramatic high school girl and doesn’t take her seriously. Laurie must survive on instinct and support
from family and friends.
What is the personal
goal of the character? Laurie must survive, and in order to do
this, she must outwit a smart man.
